IC 4784 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is an estimated 214 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 6706 , IC 4779 , IC 4781 , IC 4788 are located in the same region of the sky .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on July 20, 1901 .
