IC 4799 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 198 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 6706 , IC 4800 , IC 4801 are also located in the same region of the sky .
