IC 4797 is an elliptical c D galaxy of the Hubble type E5 in the constellation Telescope in the southern sky . It is an estimated 117 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 6707 , NGC 6708 , IC 4796 are in the same region of the sky .
