IC 4801 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 194 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies IC 4790 and IC 4799 are in the same region of the sky .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 13, 1901 .
