IC 4789 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Peacock on southern sky . It is estimated to be 184 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxy IC 4787 is located in the same region of the sky .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 27, 1900 .
