IC 4771 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Peacock on southern sky . It is an estimated 243 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies IC 4766 , IC 4767 , IC 4769 , IC 4770 are in the same region of the sky .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on July 20, 1901 .
