Rüegger is an edition of Somedia Buchverlag ( Swiss book publisher ) based in Glarus and Chur. The Rüegger publishing house existed from 1973 to 1997.

activities

The focus of the edition is the publication of specialist books on the subjects of politics , economics , ecology and social sciences as well as textbooks on economics and investment accounting . In addition, publications from the research programs of the Swiss National Science Foundation and, more recently, gender studies are issued.

Somedia Buchverlag publishes around 30 titles a year in German, English, Italian and Romansh and currently has almost 600 titles (as of 2017).

The authors and editors include Doris Aebi , Thomas Bernauer , Armin Bollinger , Bruno Gehrig , Hans Geser , Felix Gutzwiller , Franz Jaeger , Ulrich Klöti , Christoph Lengwiler , Martin Meyer , Marcel Alexander Niggli , Dieter Ruloff , Peter Eisenhut and Beatrice Neither di Mauro .

history

The Rüegger publishing house was founded as a sole proprietorship in Diessenhofen in the mid-1970s and was later based in Grüsch and from 1991 to 1997 as a stock corporation in Chur . In 1997 the publishing house Rüegger AG was merged with the former Gasser Media AG (today Somedia Production AG) and the public limited company was dissolved.

Today the Rüegger publishing house is based in Glarus and Chur and is integrated into Somedia Medien der Südostschweiz and appears as an edition.
