Veronika Hagen

Veronika Hagen-Di Ronza (born May 5, 1963 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian violist . Since 2007 she has been university professor for viola in the department for string and plucked instruments at the Mozarteum University .

Life

Veronika Hagen is the daughter of a solo violist and concert master of the Mozarteum Orchestra , Salzburg. At the age of six she received lessons from her father. She studied with Helmut Zehetmair at the Mozarteum University, where she obtained a concert diploma. She obtained her concert exam with Hatto Beyerle at the Hanover University of Music .

Together with her brothers Clemens Hagen , Lukas Hagen and Rainer Schmidt , she forms the Hagen Quartet .

In 1984 she won the "International Viola Competition" in Budapest.

Veronika Hagen is married to the double bass player Roberto Di Ronza. They have three children together. In addition to her musical activities, she teaches as a university professor, specializing in viola, at the Mozarteum University .

Veronika Hagen plays both a Giovanni Paolo Maggini viola from the collection of the Austrian National Bank and modern instruments from the workshop of Stefan-Peter Greiner .
