Veronika Zunhammer

Veronika Zunhammer (* 1985 in Traunstein ) is a German jazz musician ( vocals , piano , composition ).

Live and act

Zunhammer grew up in a family of musicians in Traunwalchen in Chiemgau and received classical instrumental lessons in piano, guitar and viola . From 2004 she took lessons in jazz singing and jazz piano at the Neue Jazzschool Munich . In 2006/07 she completed the university course "Elementary Music and Movement Education " at the Mozarteum Salzburg , and then studied jazz singing at the University of Music and Theater in Munich until 2011 with Sanni Orasmaa, Philipp Weiss and Béela Müller. Until 2012 she studied composition, jazz singing and producing at the universities of music in Basel and Lucerne with Lauren Newton , Hans Feigenwinter and Gregor Hilbe .

Already during her studies she performed with her own bands on stages at home and abroad and has so far released three albums under her own name. Zunhammer continued to work with the Christian Elsässer Jazz Orchestra, the NDR-Bigband ( Flying in Circles ), the hr-Bigband , the Sunday Night Orchestra and the Jazzrausch Bigband ( Mirror Suite ). She also performed with musicians from the Munich Philharmonic at the Postpalast in Munich. She can also be heard on StröerBros albums.

Zunhammer is a lecturer for jazz and pop singing at the University of Music and Theater in Munich.
