The administrative community Gessertshausen in the Swabian district of Augsburg was created on May 1, 1978 by statutory order of the government of Swabia . It originally consisted of the communities Gessertshausen, Kutzenhausen and Ustersbach. Kutzenhausen left the administrative community on January 1, 1994 and has been a unified community since then.

The VG Gessertshausen today consists of the municipalities

  1. Gessertshausen , 4362 inhabitants, 41.35 km²
  2. Ustersbach , 1164 inhabitants, 11.14 km²

The administrative community is based in Gessertshausen. The joint chairman is the mayor of Gessertshausen, Jürgen Mögele.
