About this picture

In the administrative community Heldburger Unterland in the Thuringian district of Hildburghausen , the cities of Heldburg and Ummerstadt as well as four municipalities in the Heldburger Land have come together to handle their administrative business. The Heldburger Unterland administrative community covers the entire southern part of the Hildburghausen district. It borders on the areas of the Upper Franconian district of Coburg and the Lower Franconian districts of Rhön-Grabfeld and Haßberge.

The administrative community is based in Heldburg .

The municipalities

history

The administrative community was founded on September 30, 1994. The Straufhain community joined the administrative community on December 31, 2013. As part of the Thuringia regional reform in 2018 and 2019 , the member communities Gompertshausen , Hellingen and Bad Colberg-Heldburg merged to form the new city of Heldburg .
