Until December 31, 2004, the Klötze administrative community in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in the northwest of Saxony-Anhalt consisted of the communities of Neuendorf and Schwiesau and the town of Klötze .

In the course of the municipal reform, this was dissolved and on January 1, 2005, the new administrative community Klötze was formed with the nine municipalities of the dissolved administrative community Jeetze-Ohre-Drömling .

Since January 1, 2005, twelve municipalities were united in this administrative community. The administrative community existed until December 31, 2009.

On January 1, 2010, the member communities were incorporated into the town of Klötze and the administrative community was dissolved.

The seat of the administrative community was the city of Klötze . 11,453 inhabitants (2008) lived in an area of ​​278.27 km².
