Provinces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic : 1.  Shahumyan ; 2.  Mardakert ; 3.  Askeran ; 4.  Martuni ; 5.  Hadrut ; 6.  Shusha ; 7.  Kashatach .

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is divided into eight administrative units. Of these, seven are provinces , while Stepanakert , the capital of the country, has a special administrative status.

Azerbaijan units and claimed territory

Additional Rajons of Azerbaijan are under state control of Karabakh and are now part of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR): LATCHING , Kubatli , Sang Elan , Dschebrajil , Kalbajar and parts of Agdam and Fizuli . On the other hand, the western parts of Martakert and Martuni are under the military control of Azerbaijan, as is the entire eastern part of Shahumyan.
