The Verwaltungsverband Wildenstein is an administrative association in the Free State of Saxony in the Erzgebirgskreis . Administrative associations are corporations under public law to which the associated municipalities have delegated all administrative tasks. Member communities are
- Börnichen / Erzgeb.
- Grünhainichen with the districts Grünhainichen, Waldkirchen and Borstendorf
The administrative association was established on March 29, 1994 with the communities of Börnichen, Grünhainichen and Waldkirchen. Due to the municipal area reform law of October 28, 1998, it was determined that Borstendorf must also become a member of the association.
On March 1, 2009, Waldkirchen merged and on January 1, 2015, Borstendorf merged with Grünhainichen.
The chairman of the association and head of the joint administration was Eckhard Börner from 1994 to 2015 , since then it has been Kathrin Ardelt.
