Victoria "Vicki" Chalmers (* 16th November 1989 in Edinburgh as Victoria Adams ) is a Scottish curler . She is currently playing second in Eve Muirhead's team .
Career
Chalmers played as a junior in Eve Muirhead's team and won gold medals with her three times at the Junior World Curling Championships (2008, 2009 and 2011). At the Winter Universiade 2011 , she also won the gold medal in the team skipped by Anna Sloan .
She became world champion in 2011 with Team Muirhead and won the bronze medal in 2017 . At the European Curling Championships in 2011 and 2017 , she won the gold medal; at the intervening European Championships she also came on the podium every time.
In 2014 she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi with Eve Muirhead, Anna Sloan (third), Claire Hamilton (lead) and Lauren Gray (substitute) .
Chalmers represented Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Olympics with Muirhead, Sloan and Gray . With a third place after the Round Robin she moved into the final round, but suffered two defeats there against Sweden (Skip: Anna Hasselborg ) in the semi-finals and against Japan (Skip: Satsuki Fujisawa ) in the game for third place and finally finished fourth .
She plays with Team Muirhead very successfully on the World Curling Tour and has won numerous competitions there.
Private life
Her older sister Kay Adams is also a curler and took part in the 2011 European Championships with the Scottish team . She has been married since 2018.
