Victoria Anne Wilson (born July 24, 1975 in Boise , Idaho ) is a former American professional wrestler and model. She was last active until 2008 with World Wrestling Entertainment under the ring name Torrie Wilson .

biography

Modeling

Prior to her wrestling career, Torrie Wilson worked as a model, primarily for swimwear. In 1998 she won the Miss Galaxy modeling competition. 2003 and 2004 Torrie Wilson was seen in Playboy , 2004 together with wrestling colleague Sable .

Wrestling debut and time in WCW

In February 1999 Wilson made his debut under the name Samantha in World Championship Wrestling . However, she disappeared after a short time from the shows before she returned in May at the side of David Flair , her partner at the time. Then she and David Flair were involved in a storyline with David's father Ric Flair . She disappeared again from the shows and then returned to the side of her then-husband Billy Kidman. Then she managed yet Shane Douglas and later joined the grouping Filthy Animals , consisting of Eddie Guerrero , Konnan and Rey Mysterio on. In 2000, Wilson was fired from the WCW.

SmackDown

In 2001, Torrie Wilson joined WWE . In the course of the then real takeover of WCW and ECW by the WWE and the resulting storyline of an alliance of WCW and ECW wrestlers against the WWE, Wilson was deployed on the side of the alliance. She later appeared primarily on the SmackDown show and had a lengthy feud with Dawn Marie here . From this she emerged as the winner. Another lengthy feud ensued against Sable in 2003. Then, in 2004, Torrie Wilson and Sable feuded side by side against Stacy Keibler and Jackie Gayda. This storyline was based on Wilson and Sable appearing together in Playboy. The feud ended at Wrestlemania XX in a "Playboy Evening Gown" match, in which Torrie and Sable prevailed.

RAW

In 2005, Wilson moved to WWE's second weekly TV show, RAW , where she was involved in various constellations in feuds with Candice Michelle , Victoria , Ashley Massaro , Trish Stratus and Mickie James . At Wrestlemania 22 in 2006, there was a "Playboy Pillow Fight" with Candice Michelle, who was the WWE Playboy model that year. Torrie Wilson was later placed on the side of Carlito as part of a storyline relationship .

End of career

In the fall of 2006, she filed for divorce from husband Billy Kidman. On June 11, 2007, Wilson was sent back to SmackDown due to a cast change. In April 2008, in an interview with a Chinese television station, she announced the end of her career due to intense back problems and daily therapy. On May 8, 2008, her contract with WWE was terminated at her own request.

She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6, 2019 .
