Victoria Schulz (* 1990 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Victoria Schulz was discovered for her first leading role in Dora or Our Parents' Sexual Neuroses at a street casting. At the side of Jenny Schily and Lars Eidinger , she took on the role of Dora, a young girl with a mental disability. The film premiered in 2015 at the Berlin International Film Festival in the “Panorama” section. Schulz has received several awards for her portrayal. In the same year she was cast for the leading role in No return from now on by Christian Frosch .

In 2014 she was honored with the Seymour Cassel Award of the Oldenburg International Film Festival and the Young Talent Award of the German Actor Award for her acting performance in No turning back from now on . In 2015 she also received the New Faces Award as best young actress for her portrayal of the mentally disabled girl Dora in Dora or the sexual neuroses of our parents , as well as for her leading role in No Going Back Now . She received her first international award in 2016 at the Festival international de films de femmes de Créteil . She studied acting at the Babelsberg Film School until 2013 . In 2018, Schulz was again represented in a leading role in the feature film Tailwind from the front by Philipp Eichholtz at the Berlinale .

In recent years, Victoria Schulz has also increasingly realized her own projects as a writer and director and began studying film directing at the Babelsberg Film University in 2016 . Her short film Nachthall premiered at the Max Ophüls Prize in Saarbrücken in 2019 . In the movie Electric Girl (2018) directed by Ziska Riemann , she embodied the title role.
