Victoriano Rivas Álvaro , called Nano (born July 7, 1980 in Ciudad Real ) is a former Spanish soccer player and current soccer coach .
Player career
As a player, he was used both as a left defender and a central defender.
Atlético Madrid
Nano was a regular for the Atlético Madrid team for two years . For Atlético B he ran in 50 games and scored one goal.
Getafe CF
In 2002 he moved to the Madrid suburban club Getafe CF , so that he could stay in familiar surroundings. In his first season there, 2002/03, he was on loan before he was signed. In the 2003/04 season Getafe rose unexpectedly for the first time in the first Spanish league and Nano was also able to prevail there.
Real Betis
After three years, Nano moved to Real Betis, then a Champions League participant, in 2005 . The first year in Seville was anything but happy for him, as he was seriously injured in the game against Chelsea and was out for a long time. He also played in the UEFA Cup once later that season .
After being loaned to Real Valladolid in the 2008/09 season , he returned to Betis in the summer of 2009, which had meanwhile been relegated to the Segunda División . There he was only used for one job.
Levante UD
In the summer of 2010, Nano moved to UD Levante in the Primera División .
Beijing Renhe
He ended his playing career with two seasons in China with Beijing Renhe
Trainer
Then Nano worked as a trainer.
On November 12, 2018, he signed a contract until the end of the season with KSV Roeselare , who plays in the Belgian division 1B . The club was at this point after half of the games in 6th place (of 8) in the table, which would have meant participation in the relegation round at the end of the season. To avoid this, the club had to make up six points in the second half of 14 games.
But he left the club on January 8, 2019. A sum provided for in the contract in the event of early termination has been paid. For two days his employment as an assistant coach at Shanghai Shenhua in China became known.
