Vierschach ( Italian Versciaco ) is located in the eastern Pustertal or Hochpustertal in South Tyrol and is a fraction of the municipality of Innichen (Italian San Candido ) in Italy . The fraction is divided into the two settlements Obervierschach and Untervierschach.

The place is a popular tourist destination in both summer and winter. In the area around Vierschach there are cross-border hiking trails and ski slopes around the mountain Helm .

The location is first documented as "Virscah" in a document from Bishop Egilbert of Freising from the years 1006-1039.

The parish church in Versciaco is dedicated to St. Magdalena and a showpiece of Tyrolean Gothic. It was consecrated for the first time in 1212 by Bishop Konrad (I) von Brixen and in 1479 it was expanded and rebuilt in late Gothic forms.

Vierschach is on the Pustertalstrasse and the Pustertalbahn .

The sculptor Veit Königer comes from Obervierschach .
