Viktor Kollars

Viktor Kollars (born September 22, 1897 in Graz , † May 24, 1976 in Vienna ) was an Austrian sports official , politician and author .

Life

Kollars served in the gendarmerie from 1918 . He completed a teaching degree in gymnastics and history in Graz and passed the teaching examination in the gymnastics department in 1927. In 1938 he received his doctorate in philosophy. At the same time he was from April 1934 to April 1937 as Provincial of the Styrian provincial governments under Alois service leather (to 1934) and Karl Maria Stepan , where he held the function of the Secretary General of the "Austrian Gymnastics and Sports College." Until 1935 he was also the national leader of the Ostmärkische Sturmscharen . In 1936 he was appointed as a technical inspector for gymnastics and as a lecturer for methodical exercises at the University of Graz . In 1938 he was removed from office.

After the Second World War he continued to function as a sports functionary, for example in the Christian-social gymnastics and sports union . In 1959 he became section head of the popular education section in the Federal Ministry of Education. To what extent he was involved in the establishment of the sports toot , introduced in Austria in 1949 , is controversial.

Kollars was a member of the KATV Norica cartel association group in Graz.
