Viktor R. (real name Claus Stitz , * 1941 in Hildesheim ) is a German artist .

life and work

After graduating from high school, he studied business administration in Heidelberg and Cologne and graduated with an academic degree in business administration . from. At the age of 24, he founded a revision course to prepare for the tax advisor and auditor examination, which still exists today and in which he taught as a revisionist for over 30 years. In 1995 he submitted his dissertation at the University of Bremen with the title The informative value of the consolidated financial statements in business administration and obtained a doctorate in economics and social sciences .

At the age of 20 he was already engaged in painting and called himself Viktor R. The Art Table , which he has been running since 1999, is a form of exchange of ideas with other artists. Prominent guests were Jörg Immendorff , Dieter Ronte , Erwin Bechthold and Elmar Zorn .

Viktor R. mainly paints large-format pictures, which are called "figurative" by the professional world. He had a long friendship with Jörg Immendorff; in the studio of Viktor R. both worked at various stations.
