History and description
The Villa Elisabeth was built in 1883. Stylistically, the villa built in the Renaissance style belongs to late historicism . The builder was the military builder and later rentier Ludwig Selck. Until 1933 the villa was used as a private residence. After that, the building was used by party organizations. After the Second World War , the villa was used by various authorities as an alternative accommodation. From 1960 the building was used as a school, later as a technical college . From 1969 to the mid-1970s it served as a student residence . From 1976 the villa was converted into a residential building as a leasehold .
The asymmetrically structured Villa has Motivanklänge rural construction in the form of artfully sawn ornaments in the gable of the Freigespärres under the cantilevered roof . The building has a side tower with a final tower gallery . The simple enclosure and the garden house have been preserved in their original state.
The property was renovated in the 2010s. Historic furnishing elements worth preserving are the representative staircase , windows, sandstone window sills, doors, lambria, terrazzo floors , wooden coffered ceilings and the stucco . The old plaster was removed and replaced with new ones. With Spanish natural slate was roof covered again.
