Villa Karl Otto Hellmund

The villa , which Karl Otto Hellmund built in 1898 as a builder and contractor, is located at Augustusweg 88 in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . The round house was built on the property in 1913 as a summer house , which is now separated under the address Augustusweg 80a. Property and house are located in the conservation area Historic vineyard landscape Radebeul and in the conservation area Lößnitz . The building has been a listed building since 1979 .

The vineyard together with wall and archway under monument protection standing villa located in a large garden plot amidst the vineyards, strong back from the Augustusweg. The sloping terrain is intercepted by the vineyard wall to the south.

The two-storey building has a roughly square floor plan and is closed off by a tiled roof , which is slightly inclined forwards and with a lantern on top . The roof of the tiled roof is adorned with decorative stones.

In the street view of the plastered house there is a central risalit with a triangular rafter gable. The facades are simply structured by plaster strips , the windows framed by sandstone walls.

At the entrance to the property there is a portal with three sandstone pillars and an iron grating. In front of the villa and up to the round house to the west, a high quarry stone retaining wall catches the area, and access to the house is through a large, arched opening.
