Vincent Laban (born September 9, 1984 in Pau , France ) is a Cypriot - French football player . He plays in left midfield and has been under contract with AEK Larnaka since 2015 .

Career

Laban came to the youth department of FC Nantes in 1999/2000 and moved up to the reserve team in 2002, for which he came to 62 missions in two years. In 2004 he received a professional contract with Nantes , but did not play a competitive game for the professional team in the 2004/05 season. In the summer of 2005 he left France and moved to the Cypriot first division club Digenis Akritas Morphou . Until the club's relegation in the 2006/07 season, Laban made 42 league games for Morphou and then moved to Anorthosis Famagusta .

With Famagusta he became Cypriot champions in his first season. In qualifying for the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League , he and his club surprisingly prevailed against FC Pjunik , Rapid Vienna and Olympiacos . Laban contributed one goal each against Rapid and Piraeus to the successful qualification.

In the summer of 2013 he moved to the Romanian first division to Astra Giurgiu . With Astra he was able to finish the 2013/14 season as runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest and win the Romanian Cup . In summer 2015 he joined the Cypriot first division club AEK Larnaka , where he was able to finish the 2015/16 season as runner-up.
