Vincent Landay

Vincent Landay (* in Sault Ste. Marie , Canada ) is a Canadian film producer .

Life

Landay studied theater studies from 1981 to 1986 at the University of California, Los Angeles , from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree. He has been producing music videos with director Spike Jonze for bands such as Arcade Fire , Kanye West , REM , Björk , Weezer and Fatboy Slim since 1993 . He was also involved in commercials. He also produced the Directors Label DVD Series , a collection of works by Jonze , Chris Cunningham and Michel Gondry .

In addition to Jonze, Landay has worked with directors such as David Fincher , Michael Bay , James Foley , David Lynch , Roman Coppola and John Dahl . His works have received numerous awards, such as the feature film Her , which earned him his first Oscar nomination . In January 2013 Landay started his own production company called Vincent Landay Productions .
