The Violenbach is a brook in northwestern Switzerland . It rises at Sennweid (municipality of Olsberg AG ) at 450 meters and flows into the Ergolz at Augst . It forms the border between the cantons of Aargau and Basel-Landschaft along its entire length . It separates the places Olsberg AG and Olsberg BL (today: Arisdorf municipality ) as well as Augst BL and Kaiseraugst AG.
