Virginia Thompson is a former Canadian figure skater who started out in ice dancing .

Her ice dance partner was William McLachlan . With him she became vice world champion in Vancouver in 1960 behind Doreen Denny and Courtney Jones and won the bronze medal in Prague in 1962 .
