Marie-France Dubreuil (born August 11 , 1974 in Montreal , Québec ) is a former Canadian figure skater who started in ice dancing .

Dubreuil wanted to take figure skating lessons at the age of five and got ice skates from her grandmother as a gift. When she was ten, she started dancing on the ice. With Bruno Yvars she won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in 1990 .

In 1995 Patrice Lauzon became Dubreuil's ice dance partner. In 2000 they were Canadian champions for the first time and then made their debut at the Four Continents Championships , where they were able to win the silver medal straight away. They finished their world championship debut a little later in tenth place. At four continents championships Dubreuil and Lauzon won three more medals. In 2001 they won bronze, in 2004 silver and finally the gold medal in 2007. At world championships they won their only medals in 2006 and 2007 when they were runner- up behind the Bulgarians Albena Denkowa and Maxim Stawiski . Twice a fivefold increased Canadian champion at the Olympic Winter Games in part. In 2002 they were twelfth and in 2006 they had to withdraw because Dubreuil fell while lifting a figure at the end of the original dance.

On May 20, 2008 Dubreuil and Lauzon announced their retirement from competitive sports. They got married in August 2008.
