Virginie Jouve (born August 30, 1983 in Saint-Étienne ) is a former French triathlete .

Career

Virginie Jouve started her first triathlon at the age of 10 and became a professional athlete at the age of 17. In 2004 and 2005 she became French triathlon champion and in Madeira Virginie Jouve was third in the U23 triathlon world championship in May 2004.

In July 2006 she became Vice-European Triathlon U23 Champion. In January 2009, the then 25-year-old declared her active time over.

From 2009 to 2012 she worked for the French triathlon association Fédération Française de Triathlon . Since 2012, she has headed the “Ministère de la ville, de la jeunesse et des sports” (Ministry of City, Youth and Sport) in Paris for the prevention of doping.
