Visions - The dark gift is a American thriller of Ariel Vromen from the year 2006 .
action
Danika Merrick (Marisa Tomei) is a courageous mother and a loving wife. As she is haunted more and more often by frightening visions, she believes that she is on the verge of madness. The line between reality and imagined horror scenarios of killed children is becoming more and more blurred. The self-confident Danika is increasingly becoming a scared and insecure woman. Out of desperation, she seeks out a psychologist (Regina Hall) who is supposed to help her return to reality. While working in a bank, she believes that it will be attacked and that the bank robbers are shooting around. As she sits shivering in the corner, she realizes that she only imagined these scenes and her boss asks her what about her. The visions become more and more frightening and only at the end of the film does the viewer find out the reason for this: Danika caused a car accident when she found out that her husband was cheating on her. Her children were killed in the accident. The unprocessed guilt led to the visions.
