Vitomir Arsenijević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Витомир Арсенијевић ; * 1937 in Vinča (Topola) , Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian handball player and coach . Born in Yugoslavia, he became German champion with TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen .

Career

Arsenijević played for RK Red Star Belgrade and RK Partizan Belgrade in the Yugoslav State League. He was a junior and B national player in Yugoslavia and was a coach at the age of 25.

First he worked at RK Roter Stern Belgrade, RK Dinamo Pančevo and RK Partizan Belgrade. In parallel, he coached the Yugoslav women's national team . In 1974 he moved to Germany and became the coach of the regional division SG Dietzenbach , with whom he made it straight to the Bundesliga and made it to the semi-finals of the German championship in the following season, but failed because of Grün-Weiß Dankersen. Dankersen was runner-up and hired Arsenijević as a coach. At the beginning of his term of office, the DHB Cup final fell in 1976 , which was won against his ex-club SG Dietzenbach 13:12. At the end of the season he became German champion with Dankersen and moved to TuS Hofweier , which he also left after only one season and was introduced as the new coach at TuS Nettelstedt . In February 1980 he was released and moved to TSV Milbertshofen in the summer . Here, too, she was discharged after a short time. In the 1981/82 season he again coached SG Dietzenbach and from 1982 to 1985 also TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen for the second time, before two one-year engagements at SG Wallau / Massenheim and again at TuS Hofweier. In 1988 he went to TBV Lemgo , which fired him after six months. After a long break he trained the second division TSG Altenhagen-Heepen and the Wuppertaler SV . In the 1999/2000 season he was the coach of SG Dietzenbach for the third time.

From 1959 Arsenijević worked in school and was employed as a teacher at high schools in Dietzenbach and Espelkamp , among others . In 1967 he obtained his first-class sports teacher diploma in handball in Novi Sad . He is married to his wife Zorka and has two daughters. As a players agent, he was instrumental in the changes from Jovica Cvetković and Saša Babić to TSV GWD Minden .
