Vjekoslav Huzjak (born February 25, 1960 in Jalžabet , SR Croatia , Yugoslavia ) is Bishop of Bjelovar-Križevci .

Vita

Vjekoslav Huzjak was born in Jalžabet in the Croatian Varaždin County in 1960. Huzjak attended elementary school in his birthplace. This was followed by secondary school attendance at the Archbishop's Gymnasium in the Archdiocese of Zagreb .

Huzjak completed his theological and philosophical studies from 1980 to 1986 at the Catholic Faculty in Zagreb. Ibid Huzjak on 29 June at the age of 26 years in the Archdiocese of Zagreb for priests ordained . Vjekoslav Huzjak worked as a chaplain from 1986 to 1991 in the Croatian pilgrimage site of Marija Bistrica . He continued his theological studies in Rome in 1993 , initially at the Gregoriana , and obtained his post- graduate degree there . In the art, theology Huzajak attained the on 16 June 1995 Masters , then at the Pontifical Oriental Institute on 24 June 1996 Magister in the Eastern Churches law .

In 1997 his incardination for the diocese of Varaždin took place . From 1999 Huzjak was in the secretariat of the Croatian Bishops 'Conference , from 2000 as the main secretary of the Croatian Bishops' Conference. His dissertation was entitled “The theological-spiritual culture and teaching of Pope John Paul II with regard to the Christian East” . On December 5, 2009 Vjekoslav Huzjak was by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed first bishop of Bjelovar-Križevci diocese.
