The diocese Bjelovar-Križevci ( Latin Dioecesis Bellovariensis-Crisiensis , Croatian Bjelovarsko-križevačka biskupija ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Croatia with its seat in Bjelovar .
history
The Bjelovar-Križevci diocese was founded on December 5, 2009 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution De maiore spirituali . At the same time, Benedict XVI appointed Vjekoslav Huzjak as the first bishop of the diocese. Territorially, the diocese includes the Croatian cities of the same name Bjelovar and Križevci . The diocese is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Zagreb . The patron saint of the diocese is St. Mark of Križevci .
