The Croatian Military Ordinariate , Croatian Vojni ordinarijat u Republici Hrvatskoj ( English Military Ordinariate of Croatia ), is a military ordinariate in Croatia and responsible for the Croatian armed forces . The current bishop is Juraj Jezerinac .

history

Croatian Military Ordinary in Zagreb

The military ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia provides pastoral care to members of the Croatian armed forces with Catholic denominations. It was erected by Pope John Paul II on April 25, 1997. According to a mutual decision between the Holy See and the Republic of Croatia, the seat of the Croatian military ordinariate is in Zagreb . From the proclamation of the papal bull of April 25, 1997, the auxiliary bishop of Zagreb Juraj Jezerinac was solemnly installed as the first military bishop . On August 5, 2003, the new building of the Croatian Military Ordinary was opened and consecrated in Zagreb.
