Vola Ridge (English; Bulgarian рид Вола rid Wola ) is a mostly icy, in a south-southeast-north-northwest orientation 2.6 km long, 1.1 km long and up to 1000 m high mountain ridge with three peaks on the Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 7.41 km northeast of Mount Kliment Ohridski , 12.91 km east of Mount Wilbye , 9.88 km southeast of Mount Braun , 6.41 km south-southwest of the center of the Landers Peaks , 6.03 km east-southeast of the Lizard Nunatak and 7.04 km north of Shaw Nunatak on the southeast side of the Sofia University Mountains . The Poste Valley is to the northwest, and the Nichols Snowfield is southeast of it.
British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian geologists Christo Pimpirew and Borislaw Kamenow visited it on February 2, 1988 together with Philip Nell and Peter Marquis from the British Antarctic Survey . The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2017 after the Wola nature reserve in the western Balkan Mountains .
