Volker Pohlenz

Volker Pohlenz (* 1956 in Eilenburg ) is a German painter.

Live and act

From 1976, Volker Pohlenz studied at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Hans Mayer-Foreyt and in the painting class with Arno Rink . He completed his studies in 1981 with a diploma.

From 1982 to 1985 he worked for Werner Tübke in Bad Frankenhausen on the peasant war panorama "Early bourgeois revolution in Germany".

Volker Pohlenz lives in Wöllnau , where he is also the village chronicler.

In the Old Master style, Volker Pohlenz primarily paints historical pictures such as the Seven Years' War and the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon, as well as landscapes , portraits and nudes .

In Wöllnau and other places on the Dübener Heide , he depicts rural life in general and special features of the trade in the respective property in murals on public and private buildings.
