history
The bank's roots go back to 1877. The Volksbank eG in South Westphalia was created in 2018 by the merger of Volksbank in the Märkischer Kreis with the Volksbank Siegerland . These two former banks were the result of several mergers over the past few decades.
Business area
The business area of the bank is part of the economic region of South Westphalia . It ranges from Burbach in the south to Balve in the north and from Hilchenbach in the east to Halver in the west - with the exception of the Olpe district . In the areas of Siegerland , the southern Märkischer Kreis and Marienheide , Volksbank in South Westphalia currently has 28 branches and 44 self-service locations. The decentralized corporate structure is reflected in the two main offices in Lüdenscheid and Siegen.
