Vollèges ( German formerly Villuge ) is a political municipality and a civil parish in the Entremont district in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland .
Vollèges consists of the villages Vollèges ( 843 m ), Le Levron ( 1307 m ), Chemin-Dessus ( 1157 m ) and Vens ( 1111 m ) as well as the hamlets of Etiez ( 763 m ) and Cries (approx. 920 m ).
geography
The main town Vollèges is about six kilometers east of Martigny on a northern slope at the entrance to the Val de Bagnes , through which the Drance de Bagnes flows. The hamlet of Etiez is connected to the Chemins de fer Martigny-Orsières through its train station .
The village of Chemin-Dessus however, is beyond the ridge, the Martigny from Sembrancher separates from Sembrancher is off Vens and Chemin-Dessus on the mountain pass of the Col des Planches reach.
