Volleyball European Cup Winners' Cup 1978/79 (women)
The European Women's Cup Winners' Cup 1978/79 was the 7th edition of the competition, in which 16 volleyball club teams from 16 countries took part. With Red Star Prague , a team from Czechoslovakia won the European Cup Winners' Cup for the second time .

In the eighth and quarter-finals, the teams played in the knockout system . There were two legs in both rounds. After the quarter-finals, the last four teams determined the European Cup winner in a final round tournament.
