The Vorarlberg Science Prize is divided into the main prize, the appreciation prize and the special prize for the promotion of young scientists. It is awarded by the state of Vorarlberg to recognize outstanding achievements in the field of science.

Awarding

The prizes have been awarded to Vorarlberg scientists or personalities who have written outstanding work on Vorarlberg-specific topics since 2000. The award of the science award is made by resolution of the state government based on the proposal of a jury specially set up to award the award.

The main prize is endowed with 10,000 euros. There is also the prize of 7,000 euros. In addition, up to three special prizes can be given out to promote young talent. These are endowed with 3,000 euros each (status of endowments: 2019).
