The Vordere Hintereisspitze is a 3437 m high peak in the Ötztal Alps . It rises south over the Kesselwandjoch, which separates the Gepatschferner and Kesselwandferner from each other. Like the neighboring peaks of the Mittlere ( 3450 m ) and the Hinteren Hintereisspitze ( 3485 m ), it is part of the Weißkamm and rises about 100 m above the glacier field. The Vordere Hintereisspitze is located exactly on the border between the Tyrolean communities of Kaunertal and Sölden in Austria .
The first to climb the Vorderen Hintereisspitze are Franz Senn , Eduard Neurauter and Alois Ennemoser, who reached the summit on September 18, 1869. The starting point for most tours is the nearby Brandenburg House , which is located on the opposite side of the Kesselwandjoch. It is often visited when all three rear tips are exceeded.
