Vueltadero (also: La Florida - Vueltadero ) is a town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Vueltadero is the second largest town in the canton of Valle Ivirsa in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of Puerto Villarroel in the province of Carrasco . The village is located at an altitude of 321 m on the right, eastern bank of the Arroyo Segundo Chaquí Mayu, which flows downstream into the Río Ivirgarzama, a left tributary of the Río Ichilo .

Vueltadero is located in the Bolivian lowlands at the foot of the Voranden chain of the Serranía de Iniricarsama . The climate is a tropical rainy climate with a pronounced rainy season .
The region has an average annual temperature of 26 ° C (see climate diagram Puerto Grether), the monthly averages are between 23 ° C in July and a good 28 ° C from November to February. The average annual precipitation is 1700 mm, with monthly values between 200 and 300 mm from December to February and sufficient humidity in all months.

Vueltadero is located at a distance of 243 kilometers by road east of Cochabamba , the capital of the department.
The 1,657-kilometer Ruta 4 highway runs through Cochabamba and runs from Tambo Quemado on the Chilean border in the east across the country to Puerto Suárez on the Brazilian border . From Cochabamba the Ruta 4 leads via Villa Tunari and Chimoré to Ivirgarzama and then on via Entre Ríos to Warnes and Santa Cruz .
In Ivirgarzama a country road branches off in a southerly direction, which leads over the Transversal and Valle Ivirza and on to La Florida - Vueltadero .

Due to the historically grown population development, the region has a clear proportion of indigenous population, in the municipality of Puerto Villarroel 82.8 percent of the inhabitants speak the Quechua language.
