The Wüstenbach is a left tributary of the Kahl in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .
geography
course
The desert stream rises to the west of bridges , below the former granite quarry (today Hahnenkammsee ) on the Hohen Mark . It runs north-east along the Poisonous Mountain , flows through some properties and passes under the Kahltal-Spessart-Radweg and the Kahl-Schöllkrippen railway at the Mömbris sewage treatment plant . There the desert stream flows into the Kahl .
The submerged village of Wohnstadt settled in the area of the middle reaches of the Wüstenbach.
The southern part of the old Hohe Mark , which used to be on both sides of the Kahl, was also called Wüstenbach. Today this ridge is called the Hahnenkamm .
