Węglewo is a village in the Pobiedziska municipality in the Poznański powiat in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in western-central Poland with a Schulzenamt . The place is located about 4 km northwest of Pobiedziska and 23 km northeast of the state capital Poznań .

history

After the second partition of Poland in 1793, the place belonged to the Schroda district and from January 4, 1900 to the Posen-Ost district . The community encyclopedia for the Kingdom of Prussia from 1905 gives ten inhabited houses on 212.2 hectares under the name Wenglewo Dorf and five houses on 83.2 hectares for the Wenglewo Hauland part. The 86 residents of Wenglewo, made up of eleven German-speaking Protestants and 75 Polish-speaking Catholics, were divided into 13 multi-person households. The Protestant community belonged to the Pudewitz parish , the Catholic to the Wenglewo parish. For Wenglewo Hauland there are 43 residents in six households, consisting of 24 German-speaking Protestants and 19 Polish-speaking Catholics. The Protestant parish belonged to the parish Lettberg ( Gnesen district ), the Catholic parish to the parish Wenglewo. For January 1, 1908, it is stated that both parts belonged to the Pudewitz police district . On December 1, 1910, Wenglewo had 124 inhabitants, while Wenglewo Hauland had 49. When Germany was occupied in World War II , the place was renamed from Weglewo to Wenglewo and later to Köhlersfelde on October 26, 1939 .

From 1975 to 1998 the place belonged to the Poznan Voivodeship .
