Władysław Jędruszuk (born November 19, 1918 in Lipno , † May 25, 1994 in Sokołów Podlaski ) was Bishop of Drohiczyn from 1991 to 1994.

Life

After graduating from high school in Drohiczyn , he entered the seminary in Pinsk in 1937 ; but moved to the seminary in Wadowice because of the war . He received the sacrament of ordination on January 3, 1943 in Siedlce . After the war he studied theology at the University of Warsaw and was appointed professor of theology at the Drohiczyn seminary on October 28, 1952.

Pope John XXIII appointed Władysław Jędruszuk on November 19, 1962 auxiliary bishop in Pinsk and titular bishop of Clysma . He received the episcopal ordination on June 23, 1963 by the Bishop of Łódź Michał Klepacz ; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Siedlce Ignacy Świrski and the Bishop of Włocławek , Antoni Pawłowski . He was vicar general and was on February 16, 1967 by Pope Paul VI. appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Pinsk for the Polish part (with headquarters in Drohiczyn). Pope John Paul II appointed him on June 5, 1991 as the first bishop of the diocese of Drohiczyn, which he founded on the same date.

He found his final resting place in the crypt of the Trinity Cathedral in Drohiczyn.
