Miedlingsdorf (Hungarian: Mérem ; Croatian Milištrof ) is a district of the market town of Großpetersdorf in the Austrian district of Oberwart in Burgenland .
The Catholic branch church St. Jacobus and the cemetery chapel are on the list of listed objects in Großpetersdorf .
The Miedlingsdorf agricultural community cultivates 46.79 hectares .
Like many other places in Burgenland, Miedlingsdorf was more strongly affected by Croatian colonization in the 16th century. In 1923 the proportion of the Croatian-speaking population was still 72.3%; in 2001 the share of Burgenland Croats was only 3.9%.
history
Miedlingsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1325.
In 1907 the village burned down almost completely, in 1919 a fire was started, which affected almost all houses.
