Włodzimierz Bronisław Jasiński (born June 12, 1873 in Włocławek , Poland , † April 17, 1965 in Tuchów ) was Bishop of Sandomierz and Łódź .

Life

He attended high school in his hometown and entered the seminary after graduating from high school . He studied philosophy and theology and was ordained a priest on October 13, 1895 . He was the first rector of the Łódź seminary founded in 1920.

On August 21, 1930 Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Sandomierz. He received his episcopal ordination on October 5, 1930, Cardinal Aleksander Kakowski , the Archbishop of Warsaw ; Co- consecrators were Wincenty Tymieniecki , Bishop of Łódź, and Marian Leon Fulman , Bishop of Lublin . The solemn installation in his diocese took place on October 12, 1930 in the Cathedral of Sandomierz. In 1932 he organized a Eucharistic Congress in Radom and carried out the interior renovation of the historic cathedral in the episcopal city of Sandomierz. On November 30, 1934 he was appointed Bishop of Łódź. Imprisoned in 1939, deposed in 1941, he found refuge in a monastery.

Pope Pius XII accepted his resignation as Bishop of Łódź on December 12, 1946 and appointed him titular Archbishop of Drizipara .

He found his final resting place in the crypt of the Stanislaus Kostka Cathedral in Łódź.
