WDR 2 Klassik was a radio program of the West German Broadcasting Corporation .

WDR 2 Klassik offered classical music and current information around the clock. The verbal contributions were takeovers of WDR 2 and were broadcast with a small time delay to the main program of WDR 2, as the classic titles were usually played.

If a pure music program such as Yesterday or the music club was broadcast in the main program of WDR 2 , a radio concert with longer pieces of music ran on WDR 2 Klassik. During the night, the ARD night concert was taken over.

As part of the 12th State Treaty on Broadcasting, WDR 2 Klassik ceased  its programming operations on May 28, 2009 - as did 1 Live Kunst . The successor was the Internet service Mein WDR Radio , which was switched off again on August 24, 2009 and offered two programs with classical music as a live stream, which in addition to music also included contributions and broadcasts from the other radio programs. The two programs focused on politics and business or science and education.
