The Wisag Group ( spelling WISAG ) is a German service group. The group of companies is based in Frankfurt am Main .

history

In 1965, Claus Wisser began cleaning buildings in Frankfurt am Main and was able to expand the company in a short time and look after customers throughout the Rhine-Main area.

After a decade, new ideas in asset management were adopted from the USA; the entrepreneur implemented this quickly and founded a second company in 1975 that offered security, surveillance and reception services; a common practice in the US where not only cleaning staff, but also porters and security guards, were part of the same service provider. This expansion of the range enabled Wisser's companies to continue to grow. Many of the customers served throughout Germany took the opportunity to outsource several services relating to the building to a service provider.

Since 1990, the Wisser company Wisag has offered all infrastructural and technical services related to the building: building cleaning, surveillance and security, building and operating technology, garden and landscape maintenance, parking space management and catering. Until 1993, the individual Wisser companies looked after their customers independently of one another. The further bundling of activities within the company led to the foundation of Wisag Service Holding in 1993 , in which all individual companies were combined.

In order to emphasize the solidarity and the complete range, all subsidiaries have been operating under the name of the Wisag umbrella brand since the beginning of 2004 . The individual subsidiaries are named after the service offered, such as Wisag Building Cleaning (formerly WDL) or Wisag Security Services (formerly IHS). In Germany, the group of companies is the second largest company for infrastructural and technical building management in terms of domestic sales. From 2001 to 2008 Berndjacket (* 1947) was the chairman of the management. He was succeeded in 2009 by the previous CFO and son of the founder Michael C. Wisser (* 1971).

In June 2010 Wisag divided the Service Holding into three equal companies. The Wisser family's company thus consists of Wisag Facility Service Holding , which offers services for commercial and residential real estate, Wisag Industrie Service Holding , which focuses on the support of production and industrial plants, and Wisag Aviation Service Holding , which provides the Offers most of the services requested on the apron of airports, such as aircraft cleaning.

As a member and observer of the PRO Flughafen e. V. in Frankfurt am Main, Claus Wisser has been supporting the expansion of Frankfurt Airport for years. Claus Wisser is a member of the board of trustees of the caricatura Museum in Frankfurt.

criticism

The Wisag Facility Service division worked, among other things, in the field of ticket control for the S-Bahn Berlin and the Berlin transport company . There were several incidents and irregularities. In the summer of 2016, Wisag employees had disproportionately struggled to the ground a passenger who requested the inspectors' ID cards. Some of the employees involved were sentenced to suspended sentences by the Tiergarten district court in December 2017 . In January 2017, it was also announced that the federal police were investigating Wisag employees because the employees are said to have accepted increased transport charges without issuing receipts. Journalists had already reported such incidents in the summer of 2015. In the spring of 2018, charges against inspectors also increased.
