Wagelsried is a district of the municipality of Alling in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck .
The hamlet of Wagelsried is about three kilometers northwest of Alling and 2½ kilometers southeast of Fürstenfeldbruck .
history
Wagelsried was first mentioned in writing in 1306. From the beginning the hamlet consisted of three farms, each of which had its own landlord, the Dachau district court , the Fürstenfeld monastery and the Hoflach church foundation . The oldest court is likely the Agathenhof from the 13th century.
1818 Wagelsried came to the municipal education in Bavaria Emmering . As already planned in preparatory discussions since 1976 with the municipal councils of Emmering and Alling, Wagelsried came to the Alling municipality in 1978 during the municipal reform.
Agathenhof
The actually smallest of the three courtyards, whose previous name was Adambauer , was converted into a noble country estate after the major fire of 1885. In the 1910s until before the Second World War , it belonged to a major in the former protection force for German South West Africa , who furnished the house with African souvenirs and trophies. In the course of the post-war period , the property came into the hands of the owner of the Munich company Samen-Schmitz, who converted it into a model estate and built new farm buildings as well as a head gardener's house and workers' apartments. Due to his marriage to the heiress of the Salamander shoe company , the estate was renamed Agathenhof. Today the farm houses exclusive residential units and small businesses.
